I'm on a coding tear tonight — updating websites, updating systems, updating my infrastructure, watching the new version of Claude Code tear through it all with my direction and my orchestration.

I've confined myself to working only on an iPad. But that iPad is connected through remote methods to my Mac mini M4 Pro. I could do this work from anywhere. This post was created just by me talking to an iPad. Every word is mine.

With the bandwidth I have and the time to watch the tokens be spent, I've put together a short film festival for myself.
The first film is Stroszek, a Werner Herzog film. I'm watching it now. I don't have to look at all the subtitles — I love hearing the different accents the characters carry. They're speaking German, some Hungarian, different inflections. And Herzog shows us absurd moments in life. He'll stop the whole film just to show you one. I love that about him.

He puts you in these beautiful scenes, and they're over before you knew they were beautiful.

The simplicity of the main character is childlike. When he gets out of prison, he tells us why he thinks he's in the situation he's in. He had a hard upbringing — and I can relate to that. No spoilers, but his own madness drives him to do sad things.

The second film, I'm going to dive deeper into the absurd: Bad Lieutenant: Port of Call New Orleans. Herzog directs Nicolas Cage in what I think is his best role — or maybe his second, next to Lynch directing Cage.

I work through the night, sending emails and messages out as I go. It's 3:45 AM on a Sunday, and I feel like I got more done watching two movies than a lot of people get done in a week. It's not a flex. I just really love this.
